Mehndi is the application of henna as a temporary skin decoration in South Asia and diaspora from these areas. The occasions in Vogue Mehendi in the West in the late 1990's, where sometimes called henna tattoos. The henna is often used for special occasions such as weddings and holidays. Attention is usually on the palms and feet, where it will be a darker color because the skin contains higher levels of keratin, which links a temporary henna dye.
